Experiencing campus is the best way to know if a college is the right fit for you. Visit us at Mount Union to experience our beautiful campus, state-of-the-art facilities, and dynamic campus life first hand.
Tours are available Monday through Saturday most of the year, but the best time to visit is on a weekday between September and April, when classes are in session. Your visit will include a campus tour with a student guide and an information session with an admission counselor. When you schedule your visit at least a week in advance, we can arrange additional activities, including the option to sit in on a class, meet with a professor or coach, or have lunch in our dining hall.
We also encourage you to join us for one of our many admission events, which also provide an opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the Mount Union experience.
While you're on campus, check out Alliance, especially State Street. You'll find plenty of restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and overnight accommodations – and it's all right off campus. Also, don't forget to check out our directions to campus, campus map, and parking information before you hit the road.
Schedule a Mount Union campus visit to learn about our campus and what it has to offer. As part of your scheduled visit, you will meet with an admission representative for an information session and take a campus tour. Small group tours and information sessions may be organized on days with many visitors to campus. During your visit, ask your rep for more details about our Mount Union visit survey and prize drawing!
Depending on faculty availability, seniors who schedule a campus visit at least one week in advance will have the option to meet with a faculty member. All students may also request additional activities including the option to sit in on a class during the academic year (September-April), meet with an athletic coach or other staff, or sample our dining services. Please indicate any specific requests when you schedule your visit. Classroom observations may be within your intended area of interest or a general Mount Union classroom, depending on class offerings on the day/time you would like to visit. You will be notified of your schedule via email prior to your campus visit.
Admission Events
Plan to attend one of a number of admission events held throughout the year to experience Mount Union and our exceptional educational experience first hand. Events range from large-group visits to discipline-specific events. Explore campus, meet our students, attend a class, talk with professors and coaches, and learn more about Mount Union and financial aid through and information sessions. You’ll get an inside view of Mount Union and learn whether it is the right fit for you.
Senior Overnight Visits
Overnight visits are designed for admitted high school seniors to experience campus first hand from a student perspective. Student guests may not be paired with a Mount Union student host with the same interests; however, we will make our fullest effort in planning to allow for you to explore your interests during your time on campus. Simply include your interests on the registration form, keeping in mind that course offerings and campus activities vary on any given day. We encourage all guests to arrive on campus with an open mind and positive attitude to make the most of their Mount Union overnight experience!
Group Visits
Mount Union offers campus visit opportunities to a variety of groups including high schools, community-based organizations, and college access programs. A group visit to our campus includes a walking campus tour and an information session with the Office of Admission. Please allow at least two hours for your group visit to our beautiful campus!
Scheduling
Please contact the Office of Admission at least three weeks in advance in order to best accommodate your request. Visits may be limited on select days due to campus events or other visit commitments. We encourage group visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
How to Prepare for Your Visit
Campus tours will be approximately 45 minutes (unless otherwise arranged). Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Our tour guide schedules are limited, so please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled visit.
Group Ratio
Group visits are designed for 10 or more high school students and are limited to 50 students. Chaperones from your organization must accompany your group at all times. Our required ratio is one chaperone for every 10 students.
Equal Respect
We hope that your group visit to Mount Union will be a pleasant experience for all involved! As a campus community, Mount Union prepares students for fulfilling lives, meaningful work, and responsible citizenship. We ask that your students demonstrate this same respect to our students, faculty, and staff while on campus during your visit.
Lunch Options
We would like to offer groups the opportunity to sample our dining services at a discounted rate of $6 per person while they are here for their visits. We ask that you prepare to pay at the dining hall with one form of payment for all of your students. The dining hall will accept a check (made out to AVI) or visa at the cashier. If you choose to pay in cash, we ask that you have the exact amount ready because the dining hall cashier does not have money to make change.
Any group that does not follow the payment instructions will not be able to eat lunch in the dining hall.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your group visit, please contact the Office of Admission at (800) 334-6682 as soon as possible.
